New Website Released

Always listening to our customers...

When we merged the previous businesses back in July 2003 we introduced a new web site www.aboutlettings.co.uk. In the last 3½ years, we have received countless numbers of plaudits from landlords and tenants alike on the content of the site as well as the speed and the up to the minute property available details, which are uploaded twice a day. On a daily basis the search button is pressed about 4,000 times by nearly 1,500 visitors. This results in over 120,000 properties being viewed in a month.

With approximately 45,000 people visiting the aboutletting site every month, we have had plenty of feed back about what people think about our current site and when looking to design a new site, we took several soundings from our clients and applicants to find out what more they wanted.

Not surprisingly, the number one issue was that the site should continue to be relevant and up to date for all surfers. However, tenant applicants wanted to learn more about the facilities in the area and in particular schools and train stations. They also wanted to search by a physical area rather than by office/branch and wanted a bigger overview of the area and availability of various properties that met their criteria.

We have worked hard over the past few months with our web designers, Bigmite, and are delighted to launch our new site which fully encompasses these wishes. Using the very up to date Google mapping software we have placed our available properties, local schools (both primary and secondary), train stations and even supermarkets in location and enabled the surfer to zoom in or out as required. Additionally, there is a great deal more content on our new site (three times as much) which should enable both landlords and applicants to make more informed decisions.

This new, highly dynamic and user friendly site will give all our visitors so much more information. This is very much only the beginning of what the new site will eventually hold. We are looking to add visual video tours of some of the larger properties as well as room dimensions and online application forms this year. This will ensure that Ashton Burkinshaw will continue to remain in the forefront of the industry in an area of marketing which is becoming more and more important.
